Heather, the dyer behind Earl Grey Fiber Co., has also been known to make some seriously awesome project bags, and she made this variety just for us! They measure about 5x6 inches at the base - the perfect size for 2 cakes of yarn, and they stand about 10 inches tall, leaving room for a notions pouch and your project while keeping the bag compact and lightweight enough to wear on your wrist.
The fabric used for the top of the bag is the last precious yardage we had from Cotton & Flax's first collection for Robert Kaufman - still one of our favorite collections to date which is sadly no longer being made. It's a cotton/linen blend, beautifully heathered in shades of indigo, and silkscreened with a white abstract hilly print. It closes with a cotton drawstring and has a lightweight twill tape handle on one side so it can be worn on the wrist and used for knitting while standing.
The bottom of the bag is made from cork fabric - a super-thin layer of real cork layed over a metallic gold backing that shows through any little holes and imperfections in the cork layer, giving it some gorgeous sparkle. The cork is also water resistant, so if you set your bag on a damp surface your project inside is protected, plus it's super durable - I've had mine for over 3 years and have taken it everywhere with me, and it still looks like new!
You'll only find these bags from our shop, and once they're gone, they're gone, so snag one quick!
